Zuhud ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Zuhud app and website (zuhudapp.com).

• Email address — collected when you join our waitlist or create an account.
• Prayer check-in data — when you log a prayer in the app, we store the prayer name and timestamp.
• Group membership — which groups you belong to and your streak data within those groups.
• Device information — basic device and app version data for debugging purposes.

We do not collect your location, payment information, or any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Zuhud service:

• To notify you when Zuhud launches (waitlist emails only)
• To power prayer check-ins, group streaks, and accountability features
• To send prayer time reminders and app notifications you have opted into
• To improve the app based on usage patterns

We will never sell your data to third parties. We will never use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing

Your prayer check-ins are only visible to members of groups you have joined. They are never public and never shared outside your chosen circles.

We use the following third-party services to operate Zuhud:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, and infrastructure

These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Waitlist emails are deleted upon your request.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and secure HTTPS connections. No system is completely secure, but we are committed to protecting the information you entrust to us.

Zuhud is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Zuhud after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
